Delivery is made via the postman or parcel deliverer of bPost, DPD, PostNL or Mondial Relay. If the parcel delivery driver offers it, you also have the choice of a pick-up point. Generally, delivery will be the second following working day between 9:00 and 18:00 if you are ordering from a neighbouring country of Belgium.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the time of delivery.
If in doubt, do not hesitate to contact us first!
IMPORTANT: Regarding shipping costs: these are calculated by default based on the (packed) weight of one item. When ordering multiple items, it may happen that the automatically calculated shipping costs are calculated too high (e.g. 4 plates can usually be packed in the same box as 1 plate, but the calculation is based on 4 separate boxes). Overcharged shipping costs will be returned by us.
Based on our experience, we strive to never ship more than max 10 to 15 kg per box. If you want to order multiple items and exceed this weight, that is not a problem, but we will have to divide your order over multiple packages. In that case, it is advisable to contact us first so that we can determine the correct shipping costs.
The option to choose shipping is automatically disabled once the total weight of the items exceeds 15 kg. In that case, you can only choose to collect via the webshop. We can change this later to shipping once it is clear whether one or more packages need to be sent. The (additional) shipping costs will then be charged afterwards.

In 1836, Petrus Laurentius Regout (1801-1878) established a pottery factory in Maastricht, building on his 1827 glass grinding factory. In addition to this factory, Regout had a wholesale business in glass, crystal and pottery. The Belgian Revolt in 1830 made trade difficult, but from 1834, with the resumption of imports from Belgium, the situation improved. Regout began producing simple pottery and later hired English skilled workers to compete with the popular English creamware.
In 1870, with his sons as co-directors, the firm was changed to Crystal, Glass and Pottery Factories of Petrus Regout, and after Regout's death in 1878, it became a Limited Partnership. The sphinx was used as the logo from 1879, and in 1899 the name was changed to N.V. Sphinx formerly Petrus Regout & Co. Frederik Regout, Petrus' grandson, started wall tile manufacturing in 1902 in Limmel, near Maastricht, an activity that later became part of the company. A sanitary department was added in 1917.
